Google Purchases Shortest Domain Name Ever

Google has purchased the shortest possible domain name to make it easier for Chinese users to find Google: g.cn. Interestingly, "g.com," along with most other single-letter and single-digit domain names are reserved by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority. The IANA is the master arbiter of domain names and addresses on the Internet. There are a few one-letter domain names out there, though: Z.com is owned by Nissan, Q.com by Qwest, and X.com is owned by PayPal. There was a proposal floated a few years ago to auction off the one-letter domain names, but nothing has come of it.

'SAAWARIYA' (2007)

Saawariya is the innocent love story of two lonesome youngsters over a period of 4 successive nights. The charming, free-spirited Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) is a dreamer, who comes to a quaint, picturesque town in Shimla, known for its lakes, mist, heavenly snowfall, rains, and tall swaying pine trees.

Raj believes that he's found the perfect place to inspire his inner artist. The bright, fun-filled winding streets of the mall come alive with singing clubs, rustic folklore, dancing, love ballads, flourishing colonies of artists and weavers, and chants from the monastery - all woven in perfect harmony into a magical dream. Male nudity comes to Bollywood with Saawariya. Thirty four years after Rishi Kapoor dropped his towel to expose his bare behind to the camera and to an embarrassed Aroona Irani in his debut as the male lead in Raj Kapoor's Bobby, his son Ranbir has done the same without any inhibitions in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya. Yes, for the first time in a mainstream Hindi film the hero has done a nude shot . The unexpected occurs during the course of a song Jab Se Tere Naina shot with the debutant hero waltzing around in a towel.

'OM SHANTI OM' (2007)

Farah Khan who had earlier directed the film Main Hoon Na (2004) with was supposed to do Happy New Year but later scrapped that project to do this film. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by the musical duo, Vishal-Shekhar with lyrics by renowned lyricist, Javed Akhtar. Composer A.R.Rahman opted out of this movie, as T-Series did not agree to share the copyrights of music with him and the lyricist.The film is said to be based on reincarnation. Shooting of the film began in January 2007 at various locations in India. Over 30 of the Bollywood's hottest stars are putting in a guest appearance for a special song in the film. The film is slated for release on November 9, 2007. Om Shanti Om is all set to create another record of sorts by going in for an unheard of 2000 prints (worldwide) release. This is the highest number of prints (including digital) for any Indian movie till date.

Synopsis: This film is based on reincarnation. The story starts in 1977: a junior artist Om Prakash Makhija (Shahrukh Khan) falls for Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone) an actress famous for her beauty. Om is happy that she likes him. But, his heart breaks when he finds out that she loves someone else. Shantipriya dosen't know that the man she loves is an evil person with evil intentions. Alas, one day, he murders Shantipriya. Om finds Shantipriya in her last moments. She dies and he, unable to bear the tragedy, passes away too. 30 years later, Om Kapoor, who was Om Prakash in previous life, (Shahrukh Khan) meets Sandy, who was Shantipriya in previous life. Now, only Om can recognize the murderer of Shantipriya and together they hunt the culprit of a crime commited years ago.
